Coenzyme Q10 is a nutrient that has been specially effective in protecting the cardiovascular system. It reduces cholesterol and reinforces the immune system. The use of coenzyme Q10 has shown to be helpful in preventing certain forms of cancer (breast, prostate) as well as platelet aggregation. It prevents neurological ailments and arteriosclerosis.
It could also slow down the development of Parkinson’s disease. A clinical trial is currently underway in the United States for the period 2005-2009 (1).
Coenzyme Q10 has a proven beneficial effect on cardiovascular diseases and has a considerable ability to fight the growth of certain types of cancer.
