Hormones

Cortisol or anti-stress hormone

Secreted by the cortex of the adrenal glands, cortisol releases the energy reserves at the right moment (stressful situation, irritation, desire for action, desire for fighting, etc....) and increases the blood sugar levels. By stimulating the blood pressure in the arteries, it also stimulates the levels of oxygen and supplementary nutrients in the cells. It strengthens the intestine and reduces intolerance to drugs, alleviates allergies and fever and increases the immune system. In fact, its action is fairly far reaching and a deficiency can lead to a wide range of disorders.
In order to optimise your cortisol rate, you should eat more meat, poultry, fish, eggs and fat (not burned by heating). In the case of women, you should avoid the use of the contraception pill as far as possible. You should also make up your deficiencies in melatonin, androgens, insulin and thyroid hormones.
